TWO-AXIS MACHINES

Simco

The two-axis machines of the CSC-2 series are universal devices that enable bending of various types of cylindrical and torsion springs (additional option). The first axis of the machine is responsible for the wire feeding by means of feeding rollers clamped on the wire, while the second one drives the sliders responsible for the physical formation of the spring and its cutting off. The number of pairs of feeding rollers varies from model to model and depends on the range of wire diameters that a given machine can bend.

The CSC-2 series includes the following models:

  • CSC-208 (wire Ø: 0.1-0.8mm, max spring outer dia: 20mm)
  • CSC-216 (wire Ø: 0.4-1.6mm, max spring outer dia: 45mm)
  • CSC-226 (wire Ø: 0.8-2.6mm, max spring outer dia: 50mm)
  • CSC-250 (wire Ø: 2.0-5.0mm, max spring outer dia: 80mm)

The minimum spring shape factor for all CSC series machines is: 4.

The machines are offered with an automatic wire unwinding system from the coil.

After adding the appropriate attachment, special tools and the touch probe, the CSC-2 spring forming machine can also be used to bend torsion springs. For customers requiring high precision, we also offer an inductive spring length detection probe, along with an automatic sorter that separates the right springs from too long and too short springs. In addition, the induction probe works with an offset motor that automatically corrects the cam mechanism responsible for the length of the spring.
